Connected Breathing
Being with the stillness of breath opens a universe deep within every one of us. Working with the simplicity of this very powerful tool takes one on a journey of self healing that shows us we really do have our own solutions inside.
Breath is a unique integration tool that weaves a warmth and strength through your whole body. This tool is free and sometimes we need to be reminded that it is there for us.To use its simplicity leaves the door open to unlimited potential.

Breath is a key and when the commitment made to just let and allow it in, be prepared for your life to change.

Sweetness for the soul and nourishment for your physical body. We spend one on one time falling into the breath as well as hands on excercises.

Access your true voice, be it your singing voice or just expressive speaking voice to communicate your truth to the world.

What is Kinesiology?

"Kinesiology encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person's well-being. Originating in the 1970's, it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body's natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual." (Definition approved by the Australian Kinesiology Association in 1999.)

Kinesiology is a very special modality because of the unique solution it offers people. Kinesiology helps the body rejuvenate biologically by recognising factors that inhibit our own innate healing potential.
Kinesiology works with a persons whole system to create change that is consistent with individuals’ values and brings to awareness many of the unconscious reactions to stress. Some of these unconscious reactions are physical body aches and pains, allergies, disease, structural tension, emotional stress, aggressive behaviour, communication shut down and relationship break downs.

We can all seek an answer, yet essentially the answer will only come from within. It will only come from our authority, not anyone else’s. Yes, we can gain knowledge and some understanding from the information others provide but essentially we have all the answers. This understanding leaves space for the most accessible solution. By accessing our unconscious mind and innate intelligence we are led to what is best for person because the answer does come from them, literally. A kinesiologist is like a bridge for communication on an emotional and neurological level.

Origins of Kinesiology

Kinesiology originated in 1964 with the discoveries of chiropractor George Goodheart. He found that by using chiropractic techniques, muscles previously inhibited could be restored to facilitation, enabling other muscles to regain full function and result in better health and posture. This technique is known as Applied Kinesiology which chiropractor John Thie in 1970 used to create the Touch For Health home care program for his own chiropractic clients so that they also could maintain their health with simple techniques. Thie's aim was for this information to benefit as many people as possible, which indeed it has. Kinesiology has grown very much since this time and taps into much more than physiological muscle monitoring.

What can a Kinesiology Session Involve?

After identifying factors blocking the natural healing process, kinesiology then uses specific techniques to assist the body in reaching its own equilibrium, by relieving pain, stress, detecting limiting beliefs, muscular and nervous disorders, detecting food allergies/sensitivities and nutritional imbalances.

Clients come with a variety of symptoms. However, no matter what they are, the power is in identifying why and how they arose, and why the body is not able to balance itself in relation to these things. The range of conditions and stresses kinesiology addresses is amazing, simply because every problem has found its own unique way to every unique individual. The beauty within sessions is discovering the bigger picture of what’s going on and which systems are not functioning to the best of their ability, then supporting these systems. Some of the clients come with chronic fatigue, headaches, migraines, sports injuries, post car accident traumas, fears and phobias, many children with learning/attention difficulties and digestive stresses.

Does something need to be wrong to come for a session?

Most definitely not. Some clients come in just for a balance. Like a tune up. Some clients just want to reconnect with the breath and want a gentle reminder. Sometimes we feel a little out of balance or things are not moving as we would like…. A session can help clarify and sometimes simply verify that we are on the right track and give us that extra bit of gusto needed to keep on doing what we are doing and to keep on succeeding.

Ani often finds people calling for an appointment because she helped their friend who no longer has chronic fatigue or no longer suffers from chronic hay fever symptoms at the same time every year. These people call with an expectation that it will clear or heal their chronic fatigue or hay fever also. Their friend claims kinesiology did it, kinesiology was the solution. This is where the education really needs to take place.

Kinesiology indeed is what is used to help the person access their own innate healing power thereby redirecting energy to do what it does best more effectively. This is healing. We always strive to do our best with whatever resources we have available to us. Our bodies do this on a biochemical level all the time.

We can all seek an answer, yet essentially the answer will only come from within. It will only come from our authority, not anyone else’s. Yes, we can gain knowledge and some understanding from the information others provide but essentially we have all the answers. For this reason we leave the ego (as practitioners) at home before we go to work at the clinic. Our ego and logic can only guess at the number of possible things that can help any individual. This leaves too much guess work in finding a solution and is still a symptom based model, not leaving room for the unique way in which every client manifests imbalance. Leaving our ego at home makes it much easier to find solutions. Kinesiology helps retrieve these answers. By accessing our innate intelligence that knows more than we are aware of (this is done via muscle monitoring - getting feedback from muscle responses), we are led to what the person needs for themselves at any given time in relation to whatever context or area they require help in. This help may be nutritional, emotional, mental, physical or energy.
